Last updated: 2026-05-01

These terms govern your use of the Toronto Drywall Pro website at https://torontodrywallpro.ca and the contracting of drywall services from us across the Greater Toronto Area.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or engaging us for drywall work, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please discontinue use of the site or engagement.

3. Estimates & Quotations

Free estimates are provided on-site or via clear written description and photos. All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Final pricing may be adjusted on a written change-order basis if project scope changes (e.g., additional concealed damage discovered, customer-requested upgrades).

4. Workmanship Warranty

Our installation and repair work carries a one (1) year workmanship warranty covering tape lifting, seam telegraphing, and finish defects under normal conditions. Settling cracks beyond the first year are addressed at a discounted touch-up rate. The warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from subsequent water leaks, structural movement, or impact
  • Cracks caused by extreme humidity swings or temperature changes
  • Modifications or repairs performed by third parties after our work
  • Normal seasonal wear in pre-1960s plaster-on-lath homes

Material warranties (Type X, Green Board, etc.) follow the manufacturer's published terms.

5. Payment Terms

Standard payment terms are 50% deposit upon contract signing and balance upon completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, cheque, e-Transfer, and credit card. Invoices outstanding more than 30 days may incur a 1.5% monthly late fee.

6. Insurance & Liability

Toronto Drywall Pro carries $2 million in general liability insurance and is WSIB-compliant. Certificates of insurance are available on request. Our liability is limited to the scope of work contracted and the workmanship warranty above. We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues, hidden defects in framing or insulation revealed during drywall work, or consequential damages.

7. Site Conditions

The customer is responsible for ensuring access to the property, electricity and water availability, and removal of personal items from the work area. We will protect remaining items in place but cannot accept responsibility for damage to items not properly secured or removed.

8. Asbestos & Hazardous Materials

For pre-1980 Toronto-area homes, asbestos testing of popcorn ceilings is mandatory before any removal. If asbestos is detected, the work will be routed to a licensed abatement partner at additional cost — we do not perform asbestos abatement directly. Other hazardous materials encountered (mold, lead paint) will be addressed through appropriate licensed subcontractors.

9. Permits & Inspections

Where municipal permits are required (basement legal suites, certain renovations), the customer is responsible for obtaining the permit unless otherwise agreed. We will coordinate with framing and drywall inspectors as required.

10. Website Use

All content on this website — text, images, design — is owned by Toronto Drywall Pro or licensed for use here. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify content without our written permission. The website is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario.
